Helen Scarr, Director of H Creative Services
I’ve always been drawn to words and their power, from specialising in Medieval literature during my English degree to starting out as a freelance travel writer while travelling the world. Alongside writing, I’ve always felt a strong connection to the environment, which naturally led me to specialise in renewable energy and sustainability. Since 2016, I’ve been supporting pre-application consultation and communications - helping organisations navigate complex projects and communicate them with clarity and confidence.
Alongside running H Creative Services, I also own Calmer Soul Yoga - a yoga, meditation, breathwork and retreat business. Supporting people as they grow in confidence, both physically and mentally, is something I find incredibly rewarding, and it’s a perspective that naturally shapes how I work.
Giving back is important to me. I’ve volunteered for Parkinson’s UK’s East Midlands Research Interest Group for several years, supporting events and sharing research developments - a cause close to my heart after losing my father in 2021.
When I switch off, you’ll usually find me walking my dog Jerry in the countryside, travelling when I can, or enjoying a good non-fiction book (often with a glass of wine in hand).
